Lifeline of Hope, an international orphan aid & adoption organization, in their Nov 2006 Family Bulletin included this sobering statistic:
By the end of this day...and every day, thirty thousand children will be lost to disease, war, starvation, suicide, drugs and murder throughout our world. The saddest part of this heart-wrenching statistic is that each and every death is needless and preventable! What else needs to be said!

That is so sobering. And scary.
Thank you for this post.
I hope that churches everywhere will support ministries that help Children.
We must remember, "For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
Larry I am afraid you are right, we let our own troubles blind us to others who have much greater problems than we. I have been personaly reminded of just that recently , broken tooth became short with others as though they caused it, but I am now trying, will get tooth fixwd but we will never solve earth's problems. but we must try.
